Associate Consultant

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Associate Consultant at Taxcart. The Associate Consultant will support clients in implementing and optimizing Taxcart’s tax engine, including gathering requirements, configuring the system, and assisting with integrations into ecommerce, invoicing, and ERP platforms. Daily tasks include analyzing client tax and transaction data, preparing documentation, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with technical and product teams to resolve configuration or workflow challenges. The role also involves guiding clients on best practices for tax automation, providing training and support, and contributing to continuous improvement of internal processes and knowledge resources.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into practical system configurations and workflows.
• Knowledge of or interest in indirect taxes (sales tax, VAT, GST) and compliance processes across different regions.
• Experience working with SaaS products, APIs, or system integrations between ecommerce, invoicing, or ERP platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a remote environment.
• Comfort with data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, basic analytics) to review transaction data and identify patterns or issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in consulting, implementation, tax technology, or fintech is an advantage but not required.
