Associate Contract Manager – Healthcare Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain (Remote)

Location: Remote (Preference for candidates based in New England / East Coast time zone)

Type: 3-Month Contract (Full-Time, 40 hrs/week)

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $38.00/hr (commensurate with experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Associate Contract Manager to join a leading healthcare organization’s Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Contracts team for a 3-month contract coverage engagement. In this role, you will independently manage a diverse portfolio of high-volume, lower-dollar and lower-risk contracting through expedited, defined processes.

The Associate Contract Manager reviews and processes agreements, maintains accurate contract records, identifies risk and follows the appropriate contracting path. This position is remote with travel to hospital sites as needed.

Reporting to the Corporate Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating operational and compliance risks, redlining and negotiating favorable terms, and driving cost savings and operational efficiencies across a world-class healthcare system.

Company-provided hardware/equipment will be supplied.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of lower-dollar and lower-risk contract requests that can follow expedited, defined processes
• Review, prepare, edit and process assigned contracts in accordance with internal policies, procedures and compliance standards
• Identify contractual risk and follow the appropriate contracting path, including escalation when needed
• Ensure internal contract documents and contract management system records are accurate and well maintained
• Respond to stakeholder questions promptly and professionally in accordance with departmental service level expectations
• Advise end users on contracting policy, process and required documentation
• Maintain excellent working relationships with business owners, suppliers and Supply Chain colleagues
• Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, savings and supplier consolidation
• Provide administrative support related to contract completion and records management
• Provide backup support to other contracting areas for similar contract types
• Participate on procurement-related committees and special projects as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Must-Have Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commercial contracting or contract management
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field
• Exposure to negotiating and processing supply chain or commercial contracts
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing a high volume of work effectively
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with shifting deadlines
• Strong digital literacy and knowledge of common programs and technology
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Accountable, self-directed and responsible individual who thrives in a collaborative environment
• Creative problem-solving ability and capacity to learn quickly while working independently in a remote environment

Work Environment & Details

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
• Equipment: hardware provided.
• Start Date: Immediate upon background and onboarding clearance.
