My client is an independent, Australian-owned firm with a national platform and a strong reputation in mid-market M&A. Their Brisbane corporate practice is busy and growing, and they're adding a Lawyer or Associate to the team.

About the role

You'll work closely with partners on a steady flow of transactional work, including:

• private M&A, acting for buyers and sellers
• joint ventures, restructures and investments
• legal due diligence, including preparing DD reports
• general corporate advisory and transaction documents

This isn't a firm where juniors sit on the sidelines. You'll be trusted to run matters with real autonomy and help develop the lawyers coming up behind you.

About you

• 2–5 years' PAE in corporate or M&A (more senior applicants also welcome)
• Mid-market transaction experience from a mid-tier or top-tier firm
• Confident in due diligence and drafting transaction documents
• Motivated to specialise and build a career in M&A
