Associate Creative Director

Associate Creative Director (Copy) | London (Hybrid) | Freelance to Perm | £70–75k

We're working with a fast-growing independent creative studio in London looking for a talented, copy-led Associate Creative Director to join its growing creative team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced creative who combines strong conceptual thinking with excellent writing craft, and who enjoys leading projects whilst remaining genuinely hands-on.

Working closely with the Senior Creative Directors, you'll play a key role in shaping ambitious creative work for major brands across integrated campaigns, social-first content, film and brand platforms.

The opportunity:

You'll work alongside the Senior Creative Directors as a key creative partner, helping turn strategic thinking and creative direction into outstanding work.

You'll lead creative workstreams from brief through to delivery, developing big campaign ideas and brand platforms whilst remaining close to the detail.

Writing is central to this role. You'll be equally comfortable crafting a three-word headline, developing social copy, writing scripts and manifestos, or shaping a compelling brand narrative.

You'll also develop persuasive presentations, help direct shoots, work closely with multidisciplinary teams and confidently present creative ideas to clients.

What we're looking for:

• An experienced, copy-led Associate Creative Director or established Senior Creative ready to take the next step.
• A strong portfolio combining ambitious conceptual thinking with excellent copywriting and storytelling.
• Experience across integrated campaigns, brand platforms, social-first creative and content.
• The ability to write across different tones of voice, audiences and formats.
• Experience across B2B and B2C, including film, podcasts and campaigns spanning owned, earned and paid channels.
• Confidence leading creative teams and workstreams whilst collaborating closely with senior creative leadership.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate, defend and sell creative ideas.
• A hands-on approach to developing and refining creative work, with excellent attention to detail.

Experience working with technology brands or communicating complex subject matter would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

The details:

• Location: Central London, hybrid – three days in the studio (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday).
• Contract: Initial six-month freelance/fixed-term contract, with the intention of moving into a permanent position.
• Permanent salary: £70,000–£75,000.
• Start: ASAP.
• Reporting to: Senior Creative Director.
