Associate Data Analyst

We are currently supporting a major Austrian financial technology provider as they expand their operations, and we need someone to help us track and clean the data flowing through their new systems.

The role The Associate Data Analyst helps us find where information gets stuck or corrupted between different business tools. You will be part of a remote team focused on auditing internal workflows to ensure that reports are accurate and systems are talking to each other correctly. This is an entry-level position where you will learn to spot the practical friction that stops a business from running smoothly.

What you will do

• Review daily logs to identify where data transfers between financial systems are failing or duplicating.
• Cross-reference spreadsheets with database records to find discrepancies in reporting.
• Help update standard operating procedures as we build new and more efficient workflows for the client.
• Audit approval queues to see why specific requests are getting stuck in the system.
• Extract raw data from various tools to create simple and clear status reports for the project lead.
• Test new data entry forms to ensure they capture the necessary information without causing errors later.
• Document the steps needed to fix common data errors so the client team can handle them in the future.

What we are looking for

• Strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use lookups and pivot tables to organize large sets of information.
• A logical approach to problem solving and a genuine curiosity about how different business departments interact.
• Clear and concise writing skills, as we rely heavily on written documentation rather than meetings.
• The ability to stay focused while performing repetitive tasks that require high levels of accuracy.
• A basic understanding of how databases work and how information moves from one software tool to another.
• Comfort working in a fully remote environment where you manage your own schedule and tasks.
• Willingness to admit when you do not know something and the initiative to go look for the answer.
