Associate Data Engineer

About the role

You will work with experienced data professionals to build and maintain data pipelines, integrate data from different business systems, improve data quality, and prepare trusted datasets for analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems.
• Assist in integrating data from databases, APIs, operational systems, files, and other data sources.
• Build and maintain structured datasets and data models for reporting and analytics.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
• Support the development of ETL/ELT workflows and automated data processing.
• Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
• Investigate data issues and work with business and technical teams to identify root causes.
• Assist in maintaining data warehouse, data lake, or other data platform environments.
• Develop technical documentation including data mappings, pipeline logic, data dictionaries, and operating procedures.
• Support dashboard, analytics, and data analyst teams by providing reliable and well-structured datasets.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and data concepts.
• Knowledge of SQL is required.
• Basic programming knowledge, preferably Python.
• Understanding of database concepts such as tables, relationships, primary keys, joins, and data types.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work with different data platforms.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and an interest in understanding how data flows across business processes.
