Hi, we're Ken and Ash — we own South Burnett Dental Group. If you've ever scrolled past another dentist's picture-perfect case and wondered whether you're behind, you're not alone — it's a feeling most new grads carry quietly. We've spent 10+ years building a practice with a 5-star reputation across 250+ Google reviews and a team that actually likes coming to work. Here, we back that with real mentoring from day one, so you grow at your own pace and build genuine skill, not a highlight reel. If solid work and real relationships with your patients matter more to you than a polished feed, we'd love to talk.

What does mentoring look like to us?

This is what we're committed to: your growth and ours are the same thing — when you level up, so does the practice, and we back that with real structure, not just words. Our goal is simple: help you become a confident, capable dentist, faster than you'd get there on your own.

• Structured weekly training — a set clinical topic, working checklists, and a clear plan for where you're headed, not just a chat about your cases.

• Open door any time — grab one of us mid-treatment if you need to.

• Guided supervision your first few times doing surgical wisdom teeth, molar endo and CEREC crowns — you're never solo on a new procedure.

• A clear line from supervised to solo — you'll know exactly what you need to nail next to take on more.

• Regular, honest feedback and goal-setting, not just problem-solving when something goes wrong.

• More independence and complex cases as your confidence builds, at your pace, not a set timeline someone else picked for you.

The money

Fixed salary and a relocation allowance in year one, so there's no income risk while you get established. From year two, you move onto a commission structure, with the opportunity to earn a cash retention bonus at the end of year two and again at the end of year three, just for growing with us.

Settling in

Relocating? We'll help you find a rental, get set up on our systems before your first patient, and introduce you around town. Don't just take our word for where this can take you — past grads here have gone from zero to confidently handling surgical extractions, molar endo and CEREC crowns solo. We'll share a portfolio of our actual case work so you can see it for yourself.
