About the Role

Salisbury Dental Centre is looking for a passionate, skilled, and motivated Associate Dentist to join our busy and well-established dental practice on a full-time basis. This position is also available at our sister practice in Oldbury Dental Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist who is committed to providing high-quality patient care and is looking to develop their career within a busy mixed NHS and private practice with a strong patient base and excellent patient flow.

We are particularly interested in dentists with orthodontic aligner experience who can contribute to the wider range of treatments we provide. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a strong patient base, develop their private work, and make the most of a good NHS/private treatment split.

We offer competitive UDA rates, a good private split, and excellent opportunities for professional development. Visa sponsorship is also available for eligible overseas dentists.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnose oral health conditions, and develop personalised treatment plans.
• Provide a broad range of general dental treatments, including restorations, extractions, root canal treatment, crowns, bridges, and preventive care.
• Provide or support orthodontic treatments, drawing on previous orthodontic experience and clinical knowledge.
• Utilise CAD/CAM and digital dentistry technology where appropriate to plan and design precise restorations and prosthetics.
• Interpret dental radiographs and other diagnostic imaging accurately to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Apply strong knowledge of oral and maxillofacial anatomy to ensure safe and effective clinical treatment.
• Discuss treatment options clearly with patients and provide appropriate advice on oral hygiene, prevention, and long-term oral health.
• Deliver a high standard of patient-centred care while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and excellent communication.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records in accordance with UK regulatory requirements and practice policies.
• Work collaboratively with dental nurses, hygienists, therapists, reception staff, and other members of the clinical team.
• Keep up to date with developments in dentistry, orthodontics, materials, technology, and clinical techniques through continuing professional development.

About You

We are looking for a dentist who is:

• GDC registered and eligible to practise dentistry in the UK.
• Experienced in general dentistry, with orthodontic aligner experience highly desirable.
• Confident carrying out a broad range of NHS and private dental procedures.
• Patient-focused, approachable, and committed to delivering an excellent patient experience.
• Comfortable discussing treatment plans and private treatment options with patients.
• Confident interpreting dental X-rays and using digital diagnostic technology.
• Familiar with CAD/CAM or digital dentistry systems.
• Detail-oriented with excellent clinical and record-keeping standards.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy practice environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Enthusiastic about professional development and expanding their clinical skill set.
