Duties

• Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Diagnose dental conditions accurately using dental terminology and medical diagnosis techniques; communicate findings clearly to patients.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws by maintaining accurate medical documentation and medical records.
• Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during procedures.
• Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and managing patient data efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance workflow efficiency and patient comfort.
• Educate patients on oral health care practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote ongoing dental health.
• Maintain a sterile environment through proper infection control procedures and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery to provide cutting-edge care.

Skills

• Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and infection control standards.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care for children is highly desirable.
• Skilled in performing complex procedures including dental implants, root canal therapy, extractions, orthodontics, and prosthodontics.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain treatment plans clearly and empathetically.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient care quality.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare requirements for legal compliance in medical documentation.
• Familiarity with dental fabrication processes for crowns or bridges is a plus.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to healthcare diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Commitment to infection prevention practices and maintaining a safe clinical environment through aseptic techniques.
