Associate Dentist, NHS and Cosmetic

Aura Dental Clinic, East Avenue, Billingham. 2 to 3 days a week, starting January 2027.

The role

We're looking for an associate to run an NHS list with a full diary from day one, and to grow a cosmetic caseload from patients we supply.

Days

Monday and Wednesday, with a third day (Tuesday or Friday) if you want it

Hours

9:00am to 5:00pm

Surgery

Your own surgery with a dedicated dental nurse

Contract

Self-employed associate, BDA-style agreement

A typical NHS day at Aura delivers 32 to 35 UDAs.

What you'll do

• Deliver NHS care to an established patient list, with a contracted UDA target agreed at the start
• See cosmetic consultations booked by our patient team, and carry out the treatment: composite bonding, whitening, veneers and clear aligners
• Work with our in-house digital lab, Halo Dental Lab, on cosmetic cases
• Refer aligner fits and debonds to our orthodontic therapist, and reviews to our dental therapist where it suits the patient
• Keep clear records and follow our clinical protocols on Dentally
• Help patients move onto AuraCare, our practice membership plan

What we're looking for

Essential

• GDC registration and an NHS performer number (on the Performers List)
• At least 1 year of NHS general practice experience
• Steady UDA output, ideally 30 or more UDAs a day, with references to back it up
• Strong communication and a calm, friendly chairside manner

Desirable

• Experience in composite bonding or aligners, or a clear wish to build it
• Postgraduate cosmetic training, or plans to take some
• Comfortable presenting treatment options and private plans
