What they need

The transition from Bosch to Radionixis now complete — providing a future-focused trajectory for our Radionix and Bosch product portfolios and exclusive benefits for our valued partners.

The Radionix name holds a special place in the hearts of our associates, dealers, distributors, and customers alike. The new Radionix vision — Mission control for your security — encapsulates our focus on empowering users with an intrusion system that seamlessly integrates every layer of security, from our intrusion system products to our G Series panels to our reimagined Remote Security Manger app.

Fairport, NY is the headquarters for the Radionix sales & marketing organization in the United States and serves as the primary site for research and development, engineering, quality, and product management for intrusion detection systems, including state-of-the-art sensors, control panels, software, communications and more.

Radionix is seeking an Entry-Level DevOps Engineer at our facility located at 130 Perinton Parkway in Fairport, NY. In this role, you will join our engineering team to help build, maintain, and support the cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, automation, monitoring, and operational tooling used to deliver software for intrusion alarm systems, connected security devices, cloud services, and customer-facing applications.

This position is ideal for a motivated early-career engineer who wants to grow across cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring, security, and modern software delivery practices. You will work alongside experienced engineers in a structured product development environment and contribute to reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms that support real-time security and life-safety applications.

Individuals in this role will participate in cloud infrastructure deployment, pipeline automation, environment support, troubleshooting, release activities, and operational improvements while learning the architecture, tools, and practices used across Radionix security platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and support of cloud infrastructure used by Radionix software platforms, cloud services, web applications, APIs, and customer-facing portals.
  • Support infrastructure as code practices using Azure Bicep, with future opportunities to work with Terraform.
  • Help build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, with future opportunities to support GitHub Actions.
  • Assist with deployment automation for cloud services, microservices, APIs, databases, web applications, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Support Azure cloud environments while helping design DevOps practices that remain portable, maintainable, and cloud-agnostic where appropriate.
  • Work with senior engineers to understand cloud architecture, environment configuration, networking, security, monitoring, deployment patterns, and operational best practices.
  • Participate in a structured product development and release process, including environment provisioning, build validation, deployment support, verification, and production release activities.
  • Help monitor system health, application availability, infrastructure performance, logs, alerts, and operational dashboards.
  • Assist with troubleshooting deployment issues, build failures, infrastructure problems, configuration errors, and service availability incidents.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, test engineers, cloud engineers, architects, product owners, project managers, and support teams.
  • Help maintain secure DevOps practices, including secrets management, access control, certificate handling, secure configuration, and environment separation.
  • Support containerized application deployment patterns using tools such as Docker and cloud-native hosting platforms.
  • Assist with documentation of infrastructure, pipelines, deployment procedures, operational runbooks, and environment configurations.
  • Participate in code reviews, pipeline reviews, infrastructure reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
  • Use modern development and operations tools, including source control, issue tracking, build systems, deployment tools, monitoring platforms, and AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Academic, internship, co-op, project, or entry-level experience with software development, cloud infrastructure, IT systems, automation, or DevOps practices.
  • Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts such as compute, storage, networking, identity, security, monitoring, and deployment.
  • Basic experience with scripting, automation, or programming using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, C#, JavaScript, or YAML-based pipeline configuration.
  • Basic understanding of source control concepts using Git or similar tools.
  • Exposure to CI/CD concepts, build pipelines, release pipelines, automated testing, or deployment automation.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, TCP/IP, DNS, certificates, firewalls, load balancers, and client/server communication.
  • Interest in cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, cybersecurity, IoT device platforms, and highly available cloud services.
  • Ability to analyze problems, troubleshoot technical issues, and work collaboratively with other engineers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, platforms, and operational processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, academic project, or personal project experience using Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bicep, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
  • Exposure to infrastructure as code concepts, including reusable templates, parameterized deployments, environment configuration, and repeatable provisioning.
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as App Services, Container Apps, Virtual Machines, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, or Azure Functions.
  • Experience with pipeline configuration using YAML.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration concepts using Docker, Kubernetes, or other cloud-native platforms.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as identity and access management, least privilege, secrets management, TLS, certificates, encryption, and secure deployment practices.
  • Exposure to monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, or incident response practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum development practices.
  • Interest in intrusion security systems, building automation, connected devices, real-time systems, or life-safety technology.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools for scripting, infrastructure automation, troubleshooting, documentation, or test generation.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who is curious, collaborative, and eager to grow into a well-rounded DevOps engineer. This person should be comfortable learning from senior engineers, asking thoughtful questions, improving automation, supporting reliable deployments, and helping teams deliver software safely and consistently.

This role offers the opportunity to build experience across several important technology areas, including Azure cloud services, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, containerized workloads, cloud networking, monitoring, cybersecurity, and cloud-agnostic deployment practices.

  • Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization is not available.
  • All of your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
