Associate Director

We are hiring for a seasoned “hands on” Technology Engineering Leader with 16+ years of experience in driving engineering maturity (practices, quality management, quantitative measurements, tools and productivity enhancers), solution design, performance engineering for highly scalable, business critical platforms and solutions leveraging Java, Open Source, AWS and Oracle stack.

Prior experience in Technology and Engineering leadership roles with application development portfolios and programs with a cross geo team of 80+ associates is a must have.

Experience in full engineering lifecycle for core and critical financial services solutions is a nice to have.

Job Description:

• Contribute to presales activities as a technology/ engineering subject matter expert i.e. high-level solution definition, sizing and RFI/RFP responses.
• Responsible for recommending technology stack, helping team in definition of solution, technology and integration architectures for small to mid-sized applications and cloud hosted platforms
• Participate in effort estimation using different techniques; will actively support project managers and scrum masters on planning the implementation and will work with test leads on the definition of an appropriate test strategy for the realisation of a quality solution
• Should have executed one or more cloud projects end-to-end in the past
• Help teams understand functional and non-functional requirements and translate them to technical specifications
• Mentor and groom team members to develop a mindset of Test First approach for every Feature and Story
• Develop team members to value the importance of writing clean code
• Implement and govern software engineering processes, practices, tools and standards for development teams
• Engage with customer on technical discussions
