Job Description Ptarmigan Media, a proud part of Omnicom Media Group, is a global leader in media services with a specialization in the Financial Services sector. With an unrivaled understanding of the financial industry and B2B2C marketplace, we drive innovative, strategic solutions for over 80 global financial services clients.

At Ptarmigan, we believe our greatest asset is our people. Their expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit shape everything we do—fueling our success, expanding our technological capabilities, and delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for dynamic, forward-thinking individuals to join our expanding New York office. If you're passionate about the financial sector, media strategy, and developing solutions that push boundaries, we want to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and fast-paced environment where your ideas and contributions will drive our continued growth and innovation.

We’re looking for an Associate Director, Communications Planning who can think fast, see around corners, and turn insight into real impact. You’ll lead comms planning for financial-services brands that demand depth, rigor, and smart storytelling, and you’ll help shape work that actually moves audiences and markets.

What You’ll Lead

Strategic Direction

Build channel-smart, competition-aware strategies that help financial brands stand out and stay relevant.

Turn complex client challenges into clear, actionable, insight-driven recommendations.

Rally the team along with you to continue pushing the envelope every day in the kinds of ideas we bring to clients

Set the bar for quality and ensure all work ladders up to a strong strategic throughline.

Keep teams and clients ahead of industry trends, evolving best practices, and emerging opportunities.

Be the strategic voice in the room, confident, clear, and able to cut through complexity.

Who You Are

6–8+ years in comms planning or media strategy, ideally in complex categories like finance.

Fluent in channel strategy, audience insights, competitive intelligence, and performance storytelling.

Strong analytical instincts matched with strong creative problem-solving.

A natural leader who loves developing people as much as developing strategy.

Someone who brings energy, clarity, and momentum to every room. New York: $100,000.00-$135,000.00
