What they need
We are working with a leading global consultancy to recruit an Associate Director into its Technology M&A practice, supporting private equity investors and corporate clients across the full deal lifecycle, from pre-deal due diligence through to value creation and post-deal execution.
The role will involve leading technology due diligence across IT, technology infrastructure, product and software, AI and data, and cybersecurity. You will assess technology capabilities, identify deal risks, evaluate scalability and investment requirements, and translate findings into clear commercial implications to support investment decisions.
A key focus will be technology value creation, identifying and quantifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve operational efficiency and drive growth. This will include analysing IT cost bases, software licensing, infrastructure, third-party suppliers and technology operating models, develop financial cases and identifying opportunities to leverage AI, data and automation.
You will also lead post-deal readiness and execution, translating due diligence findings into actionable plans and ensuring value creation opportunities are realised. This includes Day 1 and Day 100 planning, technology integration and separation, transformation delivery, and tracking financial benefits against agreed objectives.
Working closely with investors, C-suite executives and portfolio company leadership teams, you will lead project teams, manage senior client relationships and contribute to business development and the growth of the practice.
We are looking for candidates with experience in technology M&A, transaction services, deal advisory or technology consulting, with demonstrable expertise in technology due diligence, value creation and post-deal execution. Candidates should combine strong technology knowledge with commercial acumen, financial analysis skills and the ability to connect technology decisions to measurable business outcomes. Experience across private equity and corporate transactions, and ownership of the full deal lifecycle, from due diligence through to Day 100, would be particularly valuable.
This is an opportunity to join a leading global consultancy, working on complex transactions with private equity and corporate clients, with the ability to influence investment decisions and deliver tangible financial value.
