Role summary:

We are looking for an individual to join Olea’s Commercial - Distribution team to manage institutional funder relationships and support the end-to-end execution of trade finance transactions. The role works across Open Account Trade Finance, with particular focus on Receivables Finance, Payables Finance and Supply Chain Finance. The successful candidate will bring strong technical capability together with clear client communication, stakeholder coordination and transaction execution skills. Candidates from distribution, transaction banking, trade finance or deal origination backgrounds will be considered.

Responsibilities:

(1) Managing funder relationships:

• Manage relationships with existing and prospective institutional funders in accordance with Olea policies and processes.
• Support the establishment and closing of financing facilities that provide committed liquidity to the Olea platform.
• Prepare clear, high-quality materials for funder discussions and communicate funder requirements and feedback internally.

(2) Supporting end-to-end transaction execution:

• Support transactions end-to-end, including due diligence, transactional risk assessment, commercial negotiation, legal documentation, onboarding and operational setup.
• Support funder due diligence processes, questionnaires and investment materials.
• Coordinate closely with Commercial - Origination, Structuring & Solutioning, Legal, Risk and operational teams to ensure effective execution.

(3) Servicing funders post-transaction:

• Act as a key point of contact for ongoing funder servicing, portfolio updates, amendments and issue resolution.

Role specific technical competencies:

• Strong technical knowledge of trade finance, particularly Open Account transactions and Payables & Receivables products.
• Strong understanding of transactional risk assessment.
• Understanding of treasury, liquidity and operational risk flows.
• Advanced use and expertise in Excel.
• Knowledge of AI applications, including Claude Cowork, is a definite plus.
• Strong client-facing communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple internal teams and drive transactions through to completion.
• Concise and effective written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Qualifications (training, licences, memberships and certifications):

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in trade finance.
• Experience in a bank, financial institution, trade finance platform or other relevant financing environment would be preferred.
• More experienced candidates may be considered at Senior Associate level.
