Associate Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Deliver goods efficiently along assigned routes, maintaining punctuality and professionalism at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients during deliveries and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse activities such as inventory management, moving stock, and organizing shipments as needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and records of load & unload activities to ensure transparency and accountability.

Experience

• Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, particularly with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
• Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting, moving items safely, and operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles.
• Customer service experience that highlights effective communication skills and professionalism in client interactions.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

Pay: $24.25 - $30.00 per hour
