Associate Electro Coating Technician

About the role

We are seeking people with good chemistry background to join our manufacturing team in Batam, Indonesia. In this role, we'll mentor you about electro-coating (E-coat) techniques, help you develop a pro career and our backbone technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a chemistry or coating graduate looking to grow their technical expertise in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust parameters, including current density, temperature, pH, time, and additive ratios, which directly affect coating quality
• Process parts according to blueprints and process specifications; capable of reading simple mechanical drawings
• Operate electroplating equipment and instruments such as coating thickness gauges and salt spray test chambers
• Identify defects like uneven coating, poor adhesion, color deviation, peeling, and pitting
• Analyze root causes to improve yield rate, and use Hull cells to assist in analyzing and optimizing chemical solutions
• Maintain the process stability of the electroplating line by monitoring parameters, yield rate, and efficiency
• Handle on-site anomalies, participate in new product prototyping, and introduce new processes
• Compile Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documents, and train operators
• Track the replenishment, maintenance, and replacement of plating baths, and cooperate with quality and customer audits

About you

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Coating Technology
• Fresh graduates with strong academic project experience in electrochemistry are welcome to apply
• Teachers and researchers with strong chemistry academic expertise are also welcome to apply
• 1+ years of hands-on experience on electro-coating will be a plus
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; Mandarin will be a plus
• Must be residing in Batam or willing to relocate to Batam
