Associate, Equities Settlement

We are partnering with a prominent, global investment bank to identify an Associate with global markets settlements experience.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing Equities Settlements team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end post-trade processing for equity transactions and associated products across local and overseas markets.
• Perform daily trade matching with counterparties
• Manage cash funding and pre-funding for trades as required
• Resolve nostro and depot breaks promptly
• Minimize settlement costs and operational risks
• Understand and prioritize regulatory, policy, and control implications relating to settlement
• Proactively manage issues and escalate to senior management; ensure policy conformance and effective operation of controls
• Monitor market risks (e.g., buy-ins) and take appropriate actions
• Liaise with clients, brokers, counterparties, and internal support functions to ensure smooth settlement
• Maintain close working relationships with traders and sales; escalating issues promptly where needed
• Foster strong relationships with affiliates and custodians

Essential Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• 2 years of experience in global market settlements/ trade operations in the securities services/ investment banking sector
• Strong exposure and knowledge in supporting Cash Equities products.
• Good understanding of APAC, Northbound trading, North America & OTC Securities settlement markets is highly advantageous
• CCASS Clearstream, or Euroclear experience are ideal
• Strong communication skills: spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
