Associate Estimator

PCM Services is a specialty contractor on a growth mission, headquartered in Beltsville, MD and serving Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia. The role

We can teach you the trade. We can't teach attitude. If you're curious, like solving problems, and want a career that grows as fast as you do, we want to talk to you, no industry experience required.

PCM is building a centralized estimating team, and you'll be one of its first members. You'll start by pricing our line striping work using satellite imagery and our in-house estimating model, then talk with customers to confirm scopes and deliver proposals. Within months you'll be estimating across more of our service lines, and within a couple of years you could be leading work, not just pricing it.

What you'll do

You'll turn customer requests into accurate, winning proposals, starting with line striping and expanding from there.

• Measure sites from satellite imagery. Capture quantities like linear footage of striping, stall counts, crosswalks, and markings using digital takeoff tools, with no tape measure required.
• Build estimates in our estimating model. Enter quantities, apply production rates and pricing, and check that every number makes sense before it goes out.
• Talk with customers. Call and email property managers and clients to confirm scope, clear up questions, and walk them through proposals.
• Deliver proposals on time. Manage a steady flow of requests, prioritize deadlines, and keep your pipeline organized.
• Work with our field and sales teams. Compare estimates to how jobs actually ran, and help refine the production rates and pricing the whole company relies on.
• Make the process better. Flag what's slow or confusing, suggest fixes, and help shape how a new team works from day one.

You'll start reporting to our line striping service line leader. As our centralized estimating team takes shape, this role will move into that team under estimating leadership, and you'll help build it.

Education and experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, in business, construction management, engineering, or a related field. Not required for the right candidate.
• No industry experience required. We'll train you on estimating, our tools, and the trades.
• Experience in construction, facilities, or customer-facing roles is a plus, not a must.

How we work

Hybrid after onboarding. You'll start full-time in our Beltsville office to learn the tools, the team, and the business side by side with the people who know it best. After your onboarding period, you'll move to a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days in the office and 2–3 days remote.
