Associate Full-Stack Engineer (Graduate)

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will build real features in live products, working alongside our senior engineers: our Tech Lead, Applied AI Engineer, and Cloud & DevOps Engineer. You start as a full-stack generalist. Over your first months you will lean into one area that suits you, such as backend and architecture, applied AI, or cloud and infrastructure, and your work and mentoring follow it.

This role is for graduates who have already built and shipped real things, who start before they are asked, and who finish what they start. At Dvxel, engineers who perform grow into senior roles.

This is not a training programme. Applicants whose experience is limited to coursework or tutorial projects will not meet the bar.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build end to end: Ship features across frontend, backend, and database in live products
• Work with seniors: Pair with senior engineers, take code review seriously, and act on it
• Own your tasks: Take work from brief to done, unblock yourself, and say early when you are stuck
• Write quality code: Tested, readable, and documented
• Use AI tools well: You use AI coding tools and understand every line you ship
• Take initiative: Spot problems and fix them without being asked
• Grow into a specialism: Move toward the area where you are strongest, with guidance from the senior engineer in that area

MINIMUM

• Degree in computer science or a related field, graduated within the last 2 years
• Have built and shipped something real that is live with real users or a client, through a job, internship, freelance work, open source, or your own product. Coursework alone does not count
• Can explain how it works, the decisions you made, and what broke, including any parts written with AI tools
• Working knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript and one backend language (Node.js or Python)
• Comfortable with a relational database and REST APIs
• Solid CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, basic system design), shown through your projects, coursework, or internships
• Evidence of initiative: you have built, fixed, or launched things nobody assigned you
• Real depth in at least one area, such as backend, AI and LLM features, cloud and deployment, or frontend

PREFERRED

• Next.js and React
• PostgreSQL
• A project using an LLM API or RAG
• Something deployed on AWS or a similar cloud, with Docker
• Open-source contributions, or an internship at a product company

We care more about what you have built and how well you understand it than how many tools you have used.
