🔍 Associate, Fund Operations, Asset Management

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Daily Fund Operations & Accounting: Perform daily fund accounting, including calculating, verifying and reconciling net asset values; verify fund expenses, performance fees, management fees, trailer fees, total expense ratios and corporate actions; monitor cash movements, prepare cash flow projections and manage daily liquidity.
• Account Opening & Client Onboarding: Handle new account opening and client onboarding; perform KYC and AML checks, ongoing customer due diligence reviews, EDD and name screening.
• Trade Settlement & Middle Office Support: Handle trade processing, matching, clearance and settlement across various financial instruments; perform daily reconciliations of positions, cash and transactions between internal records, brokers and custodians; provide middle-office support for post-investment and portfolio monitoring.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary contact point for external parties, including Trustees/Custodians, Fund Administrators, Brokers and Auditors; liaise with Portfolio Managers, Compliance, Risk Management and Finance teams to resolve operational issues.
• Audit, Reporting & Launch Support: Assist in mid-year and annual fund audits and the preparation of financial statements; prepare regular regulatory filings, investor statements and operational reports; support the operational setup and account opening for new fund launches, including public and private funds.
• Ad-hoc Tasks: Maintain up-to-date documentation of operational procedures and fund records, and handle other ad-hoc operational tasks assigned by line managers.

📌 Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline. Professional accounting qualifications (e.g. CPA, ACCA) or CFA progress is a plus.
• Work Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience. Candidates with less experience, including high-caliber fresh graduates with relevant internship experience, will be considered for the Officer position. Prior experience or internships with fund managers, fund administrators, custodian banks or Big 4 audit firms (asset management practice) is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills & Knowledge: Basic understanding of fund structures, fund operations and the SFC regulatory framework in Hong Kong. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy under tight schedules. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
• Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin is essential for regular communication with the Mainland parent company, onshore clients and internal teams.
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams. A proactive team player who can work under pressure and meet daily operational deadlines.
