- Create clear design documentation, including feature descriptions, content plans, balancing notes, and implementation requirements.
- Use internal tools, and Jira to organize, track, and review design tasks and content.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure content is implemented correctly and meets the intended design.
- Review existing MMORPG systems and content to identify areas for improvement.
- Support balancing of rewards, difficulty, progression pacing, and gameplay loops.
- Contribute ideas that improve the overall player experience and long-term engagement.
Requirements:
- Experience or strong practical understanding of game design, content design, system design, QA, or a related game development role.
- Extensive knowledge of MMORPGs, including progression systems, combat, class design, quests, dungeons, equipment systems, in-game economies, rewards, and social features.
- Strong understanding of MMORPG player expectations and what keeps players engaged over time.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to turn ideas into clear and structured design documents.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar project/task management tools.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and documentation tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, or similar software.
- Good written communication skills for documentation, task descriptions, and internal reports.
- Ability to evaluate content from the player’s perspective and adjust designs based on feedback.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, consistency, balance, and usability.
- Familiarity with Lua scripting is considered an advantage.
Why join us?
You’ll help shape the gameplay experience of a long-running MMORPG by contributing to content, systems, balancing, and player-facing features.
This role offers hands-on experience in game design, content planning, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with product, development, and QA teams.
