Associate Manager - Facilities Management

JOB TITLE Associate Manager - Facilities Management | MAF Retail | Hypermarket Egypt

Role Summary The Assistant Manager – Facility Management is responsible for ensuring that all assets are in proper working condition and maintained regularly as per standards. The role holder supports the Facility manager in maintenance planning, execution and communication.

ROLE PROFILE

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and assets.
• Conduct and oversee regular facility inspections, identify maintenance requirements, and ensure all issues are addressed within agreed timelines.
• Supervise maintenance teams and daily maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed according to quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Monitor and manage the performance of external contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and company requirements.
• Manage maintenance materials, consumables, tools, and critical spare parts inventory to support uninterrupted facility operations.
• Respond to facility emergencies, equipment breakdowns, and operational incidents while ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset documentation, and reports, while providing recommendations for operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Support team development by guiding technicians, monitoring performance, identifying training needs, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Facility Management, Building Maintenance, or Technical Services roles.
• At least 1 year of experience within a Retail, Hypermarket, Supermarket, Mall, or Commercial Facilities environment.
• Strong knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and General Building Services.
• Proven experience in contractor management, preventive maintenance planning, asset management, and maintenance operations.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
