[Summary]

We are seeking an HPC Cloud Network Engineer to join our team. This role involves working with architects to design and implement fabrics from L1-3, optimize service delivery across OSI layers and datapaths, collect and analyze telemetry for localization & root cause analysis, and engage with peers to drive continuous process improvement.

[Tasks and Deliverables]

- Communicate with clients, peer engineering groups, and stakeholders to maintain clarity and alignment in processes.

- Evaluate telemetry, log data, and systems context to qualify or optimize operations and validate concerns.

- Perform localization and root cause analysis to engineer comprehensive solutions.

- Engage with vendors, consultants, and peer organizations to address specialized concerns and escalate issues as needed.

- Maintain consistent documentation within human-facing systems of record to drive automation and change-control processes.

- Collaborate with a team of highly experienced SMEs to tackle industry challenges and influence technology selection.

[Required Experience]

- Significant vendor-agnostic comfort level with OSI 1-7, encapsulation, aggregation and balancing of traffic across links and datapaths

- SDN experience prefered at control and dataplane layers - OVS/OVN/eBPF solutions/SmartNICs, Neutron/ODL/Faucet/CNIs

- Expertise in Linux, including kernel IP stack, DPDK, userspace, container, and virtualization operations.

- Comprehension of storage and application traffic patterns/requirements for conventional workloads & HPC.

- Proficiency with RDMA on IB and Ethernet-based fabrics, preferably with collective-coordination experience

- Skills in WAN routing, traffic control, and handling upstream provider interactions

- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools such as the ELK stack and Grafana/Prometheus.

- Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

- Flexibility and adaptability with a multidisciplinary thought process.

[Nice-to-Have Skills]

- Cloud experience, particularly with OpenStack.

- Security or military background.

- Experience with GPUs and software development.

- Having background in security of infrastructures.

- Development Experience with RUST, Go, or similar.
