Role Overview:

We're looking for an Associate Planner to join our planning team. This role is focused on merchandise retail planning — executing merchandise strategies and focusing on core replenishment planning across stores. You'll partner closely with buying, allocation, and store teams to help ensure the right inventory is in the right place at the right time, while developing a strong foundation in retail planning methodology and tools.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage end-to-end SKU setup, assortment maintenance and accuracy
  • Manage the core and replenishment planning process, working to maintain consistent in-stock levels on key items
  • Monitor sell-through, inventory turn, and weeks of supply on an ongoing basis, and use that data to recommend reorder quantities and timing
  • Analyze weekly and monthly performance of sales, margin, and inventory turns against plan and forecast
  • Partner closely with the allocation team to ensure core and replenishment product is distributed appropriately across stores and channels
  • Build and maintain the reporting and planning tools our team relies on, primarily in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Assist in preparing OTB (open-to-buy) recaps to support the broader planning process
  • Contribute to the management of monthly OTB and financial modeling to support company revenue objectives and ensure we are tracking to targets, identifying any opportunities and mitigating risk
  • Identify risks and opportunities within assortments, and escalate findings to the senior planning team as needed
  • Partner with Merchandising teams to conduct business reviews highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations
  • Partner with Wholesale teams to report sales performance and bookings
  • Support ad hoc analysis requests from cross-functional partners as they come up

Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Education:

  • 1–3 years of experience working in retail planning, allocation, or merchandising analytics
  • Hands-on experience with core and replenishment planning processes
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas, along with experience in Google Sheets
  • Experience with planning systems and/or Shopify
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and turning that data into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, or a related field preferred

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds in a safe and prudent manner.
  • Ability to easily move throughout an office with ease.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to effectively interact with others internally and externally.
  • Ability to utilize office equipment in a safe and prudent manner, including a copy machine, fax machine, computer, telephone, and other general office equipment that may be used regularly.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, push, pull, stoop, and lift above shoulders.
  • Ability to work with many different personalities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Correctable vision and hearing.
  • Ability to work on-site, full-time.
