Associate Project Director

About the role

The Associate Project Director is responsible for the overall technical success of dwp projects, from initiation to completion. This role involves strategic planning, client management, team leadership, financial monitoring, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Director with the project initiation process, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Monitor the execution of all project phases, ensuring adherence to the project plan, budget, and schedule
• Coordinate project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, consultants, and contractors
• Monitor project progress and identify and resolve any issues or challenges
• Ensure that all work meets dwp's quality standards and client expectations
• Monitor and manage project budgets and track project costs
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in managing projects within the design and construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects
• Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budget controlling, risk management, and resource allocation
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary project teams
• Client relationship management skills
• In-depth knowledge of the design and construction process, including contracts, regulations, and building codes
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and project management software
• Understanding of BIM workflows and technologies
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
