Position Title: Project Manager Associate

Location: 5 Days onsite – McLean, VA 22102

Duration: 6 Months plus extension possible

Must have experience with project management tools such as Wrike or Asana and demonstrate sound judgment skills, especially in maintaining and upholding risk and governance standards . Ideal candidate will be able to navigate effectively between business teams and possess a pleasant, collaborative attitude.

1. Describe a project that you participated in that consisted of working with cross functional team(s) that had complex tasks and milestones. What was your defined role on the project team? What steps did you take to keep the project team, and yourself (or the PM), on track and on schedule?

2. Please share an example of a process you've successfully operationalized, if applicable? Specifically, please provide examples of how you ensured process adoption (change management) and effectiveness.

3. Share an example of a time where you’ve provided analysis and reporting on operational performance, if applicable. What metrics did you use to collect, analyze, and report out this information?

Qualifications:

• Works closely with cross-functional teams (creative design, corporate comms (internal comms and media relations), to drive project delivery against defined scope, develop and maintain project execution timelines, maintain project documentation, facilitate stakeholder working sessions, support the identification and resolution of project “blockers” (risks), and communicate between project leadership and clients to ensure projects remains on track. Maintain relationships with project management peers to align on cross-program/project interdependencies.

• Experience utilizing Agile framework/methodology, preferred Experience using project management software (Wrike/Asana/Jira) to manage projects, 2-4+ years of PM experience.

Job description:

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our HR&CC team. In this role, you’ll oversee projects in an enterprise service model environment, ensuring conformance with established PMO standards and governance. This role involves creative design, digital/web development, and internal/corporate communications teams within the HR&CC division, as well as client-facing communications teams external to the division. So the project manager must be a good communicator with attention to detail and ability to multitask while juggling competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Strong project management experience; including schedule management , change management, risk and issues management . Projects are digital/web and/or workforce tech-related (using Waterfall (SDLC) and/or Agile methodologies) creative design, corporate comms/PR:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to help determine project scope, develop and manage timelines, update and maintain project documentation, facilitate project team working sessions, support the identification and resolution of project blockers, and communicate effectively between project leadership and clients to ensure projects stay on track and are delivered on time and within defined scope.
• Track progress on projects, and report directly to clients and/or internal team members on performance and timeline of deliverables.
• Maintain relationships with internal Project Management peers to align on cross-program/project interdependencies.
