What they need
Leading top-tier firm | Renewable Energy, Infrastructure & Project Development
I’m currently recruiting a Lawyer or Associate to join the Melbourne Projects & Energy team of a leading top-tier Australian law firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer looking to build a career in front-end projects, with exposure to major renewable energy and infrastructure developments.
What will you work on?
The team advises developers, investors and major corporate clients on the development and delivery of energy and infrastructure projects, including:
Renewable energy project development
Power purchase agreements (PPAs)
Offtake and energy supply arrangements
Construction and project delivery contracts
Operation and maintenance agreements
Broader commercial arrangements supporting major infrastructure projects
You'll gain exposure to the contractual and commercial arrangements underpinning major projects, particularly across the energy and renewables sector.
The opportunity
Rather than working exclusively on one stage of a project, you'll have the opportunity to develop experience across the broader project lifecycle, from development and construction through to ongoing operational arrangements.
The practice works closely with specialist teams across the firm, including Banking & Finance, Corporate and other infrastructure-related practices.
For a junior lawyer interested in renewable energy and infrastructure, this offers an opportunity to develop specialist expertise while working on significant projects with experienced Partners.
Who they’re looking for
Ideally, you'll have approximately 1-4 years' post-admission experience , with exposure to front-end projects, energy, infrastructure or construction law.
Strong drafting skills, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in renewable energy and infrastructure development will be highly regarded.
Australian lawyers currently overseas and considering a move back to Melbourne are also encouraged to get in touch.
