About Gray Puksand Gray Puksand is an Australian architecture and integrated design practice with over 160 highly engaged design professionals across 4 studios in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Canberra.
Our vision is to create an inspired future with beautiful, authentic, and considered projects that improve the way people work, learn and live.
Individually, we are accomplished, curious, imaginative designers. Collectively, we are a diverse national team, applying a consistent design methodology to deliver successful projects for our clients and the people who inhabit them.
About The Role We are looking for an Associate level Registered Architect to play a key leadership role within our Canberra studio, helping to lead the delivery of significant projects across our Commercial, Education, and Health + Science sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Architect and leader who can combine strong design capability with proven project delivery expertise. You will take projects from concept through to completion while leading teams, managing client relationships, and coordinating consultants across multiple project typologies.
Your people skills, collaborative approach, and ability to mentor and inspire others are just as important as your design and technical capability. We are seeking someone who is passionate about design excellence, driven to achieve outstanding outcomes, and eager to contribute to the continued growth of the studio.
You will also play an important role in developing the next generation of architects and designers within the studio. We are looking for a leader who enjoys mentoring junior team members, sharing knowledge, and fostering a collaborative learning environment that supports both professional growth and design excellence.
As a hands-on leader, you will need to work in Revit when required and have a strong understanding of documentation processes, deliverables, and project timelines.
We are looking for someone who wants to create meaningful work, contribute strategically to the practice, and help shape projects that positively influence communities and the built environment across Canberra and nationally.
Our Canberra studio sits in the heart of the CBD and is surrounded by a vibrant mix of commercial, and hospitality infrastructure, whilst also being bordered by landmark civic spaces and parklands. Well served by public transport and walkable connections, the Canberra team are a fun-loving, tight-knit group, and you would be welcomed warmly into the fold.
