Associate Scientist

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field with 0-2 years relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to perform routine tasks independently and commitment to high quality analysis and meticulous documentation.
• Willingness to work with potent cytotoxic compounds and following safety protocols.

Principal Responsibilities

• Regular maintenance and auditing of robust inventories
• Performing inventory recalling activities for request fulfilment including sample preparation including aliquoting, sample checks (i.e UV-Vis)
• Timely material recording and facilitation with Shipping and Receiving documentation
• Managing large reagent inventories with Freezerworks software
• Evaluating and building new lab efficiencies towards sample management and logistic processes
• Regular collaboration with team members and strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on laboratory experience (excluding college coursework).
• Protein and/or antibody and small compound handling experience.
• Practical and general knowledge and experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with automated lab equipment and protocols is a plus.
• Experience working with protein liquid chromatography or spectroscopy instrumentation.
• Prior experience working with electronic lab notebooks and/or LIMS systems.
