Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain distributed stress test / load test / performance test scripts written in NodeJS (JavaScript) / Rust against HTTP APIs, WebSockets, and gRPC services.
• Execute distributed stress tests, analyse and compile results, and communicate findings to product managers, development teams, and DevOps teams to support release and capacity decisions.
• Investigate stress and load test outcomes — throughput limits, latency degradation, error rates, and resource saturation — and work with development and DevOps teams to pinpoint root cause and validate fixes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain small/medium-scale automation projects on an on-demand basis.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors' in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent — fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Proficient in JavaScript (NodeJS) and Python3
• Working knowledge of HTTP APIs, WebSockets, and gRPC; experience with Rust, Redis, and MongoDB is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fantastic communication and presentation abilities
• Required Language(s): English, Mandarin (candidate needs to liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts)
