Associate - Special Situations (Equity)

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Build and backtest trading strategies around corporate actions (e.g., open offers, IPO listings, demergers, rights issues), using historical data, flows, and valuation signals
• Model and track REITs/InvITs to identify opportunities across yield spreads, asset quality, and market flows in this rapidly growing asset class
• Develop sector-specific investment frameworks , mapping industry structures, company fundamentals, and valuation drivers
• Design analytics dashboards and real-time monitors for special situation pipelines, price actions, and event triggers
• Present original investment theses and event summaries with risk-reward assessment and scenario analysis
• Proactively explore new event themes or structural dislocations that can be built into scalable investment ideas

• Background in finance, economics, engineering, or strategy from top-tier institutions
• Interest in corporate actions, fundamental investing, and market structure
• Strong grasp of valuation methods, financial modeling , and business analysis
• Analytical thinker who combines data with judgment to generate actionable ideas

Qualifications:

• 2-4 Years of Experience special situations (IPO, Mergers & Acquisitions, etc)
