ABOUT THE SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM
The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for students entering the final year of their undergraduate program who are interested in learning from industry-leading professionals and exploring what it means to be a part of Canada’s only Major League Baseball team.
Students will join our Summer Associate program, with a focus on developing the next generation of Blue Jays leaders. The Summer Associate Program will give students access to cohort-specific learning, social, and mentorship opportunities, including a cross-departmental mentor and game-day shadowing opportunities.
Over the summer, candidates will gain valuable real-world experience in the sports industry and discover what it means to be a part of the Toronto Blue Jays team here at Rogers Centre.
ABOUT THE STRATEGY & ANALYTICS TEAM
The Strategy & Analytics team helps all areas of Toronto Blue Jays Business Operations make better decisions by working on key business initiatives, analyzing data, and sharing insights. Working cross-functionally, our team provides insights and analysis to deliver a strong fact base and logical framework for planning and decision-making. The Strategy & Analytics Summer Associate will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the Toronto Blue Jays’ approach to strategic decision-making and gain exposure to all areas of the organization.

- Addressing key business problems by formulating and testing hypotheses, synthesizing findings, developing recommendations, and helping to translate recommendations into results (e.g., should the Blue Jays launch a new ticket product?)
- Gathering and analyzing data to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Translating complex data findings into clear, actionable insights that can be easily understood and applied by other stakeholders (e.g., analyzing survey data to understand key pain points in the gameday experience of our fans)
- Performing complex analysis and modelling to forecast trends and anticipate customer behaviour (e.g., forecasting ticket sales, likelihood of a fan renewing/repurchasing, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
