The Role

Associate/AVP, System Engineer, Financial Technology

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for overall infrastructure daily BAU task and participate Infrastructure architecture design, planning and continuous improvement, including deploy, configure, upgrade and maintain enterprise-level operating systems (Linux/Windows Server), ensuring high availability and security;
• Responsible for Installation, configuration, performance optimization, and troubleshoot middleware such as WebLogic, Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, and MQ;
• Responsible for infrastructure component monitoring, familiar with centralized monitoring systems to track production environments in real-time status, enhance the monitoring threshold and ensure service stability;
• Responsible for system resource usage analysis, perform capacity planning, and dynamic resource allocation to enhance overall performance;
• Responsible for IT incidents response, service requests, and outages; design disaster recovery solutions based on application requirements to mitigate business risks and willingness in 24/7 on-call rotations for emergency incident resolution;
• Strictly enforce infrastructure management policies, technical standards, and security protocols to ensure compliance;
• Complete other tasks assigned by management in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, FinTech or any related field;
• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise-level system administration, including at least 3 years in Operating System & Middleware;
• Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Proven and hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, Linux and Windows Server environments;
• Proven and hands-on experience in middleware platforms (WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache Nginx) and message queues (MQ);
• Proven and hands-on experience in monitoring tools (Solarwind, Zabbix) and centralized log management, Knowledge of mainstream virtualization/cloud product & platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Shell, Python, Ansible) for infrastructure management and CI/CD pipelines;
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/P. DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancers) and security best practices (SSL/TLS, IAM);
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
• Certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, AWS/Azure/Alicloud Certification, or equivalent are a plus;
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and handle emergencies;
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multilingual working environment.
