Associate/VP, Valuation Control

We are seeking a talented Valuation Control Specialist to join our Product Control Team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Product and explain daily P&L to traders and senior management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
• Collaborate with trading desk on significant P&L breaches;
• Advanced Attribution Analysis – Go beyond standard reporting and being able to decompose P&L into Greeks to explain P&L driver contributions and validate trading strategies;
• Lead the investigation and resolution of P&L breaks against General Ledger, identifying systemic issues and implementing permanent fixes to minimize future variances;
• Execute monthly IPV process for a range of derivatives;
• Proactively challenge valuation models and inputs by leveraging external market data and third-party pricing services;
• Lead regular market data checking and validation across the middle office system;
• Participate in UAT for new products and system upgrades.

Job Specifications:

• University degree in Financial Mathematics, Finance or related discipline.
• 5 -8 years of experience in Product Control, Valuations or Market Risk within a brokerage or investment banks.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling concepts (Greeks, interpolation, volatility surfaces).
• Proficiency in Excel VBA or Python is a strong plus.
• High attention to details and ability to work under daily reporting deadlines.
