About The Job We currently have an exciting opportunity for Assistant Buyer to join our Men’s Wearhouse Merchandising team.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date buy plans and business records
• Manage purchase orders accurately and timely
• Track orders from placement through delivery, proactively identifying and resolving delays, discrepancies, and potential risks.
• Manage drop ship business, including order execution, vendor coordination, and ongoing monitoring of performance.
• Coordinate and manage pricing updates, changes, and promotions
• Partner with Merchandise Assistant to coordinate sample requests, receipts, organization, and tracking.
• Prepare and analyze selling reports to monitor business performance.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on sales results, inventory levels, product performance, and emerging trends.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to ensure accurate information, timely execution, and resolution of business issues.
• Additional duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising or similar preferred
• 2+ years of allocation experience and buying or assistant buying functions strongly preferred
• Thorough understanding of the Open to Buy process, as well as assortment planning experience
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of GM%, MU% and GM$, sell thru, AUR
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical abilities
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Consistent demonstration of professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity
• Motivated and able to work well independently, as well as an effective member of a team
• Ability to multi-task and provide timely follow up
• Ability to build solid relationships with teammates and business unit leaders
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

• Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
• Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
• Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, in a hybrid work environment from our Dublin, CA office.

The starting salary for this position is $68,200 – $78,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $100,000. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
