Role & responsibilities

The (Area) Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible to manage sub-territories and/or specific industry segments in a country.

The ASM focuses on expanding sales by establishing strong relationships with existing and new customers.

• Sales: Identify market opportunities and manage sales activities to achieve sales targets and profitable growth within the assigned area.

• External Sales Network: Manage and develop agents and distributors within the assigned area.

• Offer & Contract Preparation: Coordinate the preparation of complete and accurate technical and commercial offers in collaboration with commercial, finance and technical sales support teams.

• Hand-over to Order/Project Management: Collaborate with the order/project management team for a smooth and complete project hand-over after a contract is awarded.

• Customer Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure effective communication.

• Market intelligence: Identify opportunities in early stages and understand customer needs to develop effective solutions.

• Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and projects in CRM and support forecasting.
