At home support

Community Horizons is assisting with looking for a dependable, compassionate, and outgoing caregiver to support an adult male who lives independently in his own apartment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others maintain their independence while also getting out into the community and having fun!

He enjoys staying active and involved. Some of his favorite activities include attending concerts, going for walks, riding his bike, doing crafts, and getting out for different activities and outings.

Because he has limited vision, he needs assistance with certain daily activities, particularly meal preparation and navigating tasks safely.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living activities as needed
• Prepare, cook, and/or prep meals
• Help with mealtime as needed due to limited vision
• Provide support with household and everyday tasks
• Accompany him on community outings and activities
• Go for walks and support recreational activities
• Assist with bike rides and other outdoor activities as appropriate
• Participate in crafts and activities he enjoys
• Provide companionship and encourage independence
• Help ensure a safe and comfortable environment in his apartment and while out in the community

The goal of this position is to help him continue living as independently as possible while having the support he needs to enjoy his everyday life and the activities he loves.

Pay: From $16.32 per hour
