Athletic Event Security Officer

Athletic Event Security Officer position available at Mathews High School. See attached job description for details. Compensation is $60 per athletic event. Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to successfully complete required school division training for the weapons detection system.
• Must demonstrate good judgment and the ability to remain calm during potentially stressful situations.
• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work professionally with students, staff, parents, spectators, officials, and law enforcement personnel.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Must be capable of standing and remaining attentive for extended periods.
• Must be willing to follow all Mathews County Public Schools policies, athletic event procedures, and security protocols.
• Must successfully complete any required background screening or other employment requirements established by the school division.
