Attorney

A national law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney for a hybrid opportunity. This position may be located in Pasadena or Monrovia office.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of substantive litigation experience and be comfortable independently managing matters from inception through resolution. The practice focuses on general liability and products liability. Strong litigators from other practice areas who are interested in expanding their experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution, including case strategy, deadlines, discovery, document review, and case calendars.

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.

• Conduct legal research and provide thoughtful legal analysis.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Assist with hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trial preparation.

• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other involved parties.

• Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing is required.

• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience.

• Ability to independently manage litigation matters and deadlines.

• Strong experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.

• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

• General liability, products liability, workers compensation, personal injury defense experience is preferred but not required.
