Malaby & Bradley, LLC is a defense litigation boutique law firm representing clients in a variety of complex litigation matters. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our growing defense team.

The Position

We are seeking an Attorney with 2–5 years of litigation experience to handle a diverse caseload from inception through trial as part of a coordinated defense litigation team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in general liability and insurance defense litigation and possess strong legal research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• 2–5 years of litigation experience
• Experience handling general liability and/or insurance defense matters
• Experience with premises liability, construction, construction defect, New York Labor Law, asbestos, or toxic tort litigation is a plus
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative defense team

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and work on multiple cases simultaneously from inception through trial
• Attend and conduct depositions involving various types of defendants and products
• Draft client reports, motions, pretrial disclosures, settlement releases, and other legal filings
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
• Prepare for and participate in court conferences, hearings, and motion practice
• Argue motions and appear before New York judges
• Participate in arguments and conferences before the Special Master
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, co-counsel, experts, and other litigation professionals
• Assist with all aspects of case preparation and defense strategy

Position Details

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000–$170,000 per year, depending on experience

Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote, with in-office attendance as needed
