Attorney - Workers' Compensation

Longstanding and well-regarded law firm in the west metro Twin Cities is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate has 4-7+ years of workers' compensation experience , whether representing injured workers or employers, insurers, self-insured entities, and third-party administrators.

The firm is open to both associate or partner-level attorneys. Associate candidates will benefit from a clear path to partnership, while senior or partner-level candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not have a portable book of business. Overview of Responsibilities:

• Manage workers' compensation matters from claim inception through resolution.
• Advise clients on liability, litigation strategy, settlement opportunities, and risk management.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and settlement documents.
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and other court or administrative proceedings.
• Analyze medical records, expert reports, and other case-related documents.
• Communicate regularly with clients and develop strong, long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide effective and efficient legal representation.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Minnesota
• 3-7+ years of workers' compensation experience, whether on the plaintiff or defense side
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively with colleagues and clients
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Desire to build a long-term practice with opportunities for growth and advancement within the firm
