Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM PHT

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in supporting Australian accounting and bookkeeping through transaction processing, reconciliations, BAS preparation, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Process accounting transactions and maintain records up to the trial balance stage.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) in accordance with Australian tax requirements.
• Reconcile investment data and assist in preparing related financial reports.
• Assist with payroll and superannuation reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) and Income Tax Return (ITR) reports as required.
• Perform other bookkeeping, accounting, and compliance-related tasks as assigned.

Who We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Experience in Australian accounting and bookkeeping, with sound understanding of Australian GST and BAS requirements.
• Experience with ITR and SMSF reports and systems is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Xero, MYOB, Reckon Accounts Hosted, and BGL 360.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately manage documentation, data entry, and compliance records,
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.

Note: Experience supporting Australian financial planning businesses or working with financial planning clients will be highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR
• A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in Australian GST and BAS requirements.
