AU Financial Analyst

About the role

A Submission Review Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information submitted by Entities undergoing a Financial Viability Assessment. This role involves detailed review and reconciliation of financial information, uploading and mapping data to digital platforms, and communicating with Entities and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review submissions of information from Entities being assessed under a Financial Viability Assessment process, confirming that details provided by the Entity match details provided by customers
• Ensure all relevant questions have been answered fully and correctly
• Confirm that supporting documentation matches the correct formats and is accurate
• Ensure information provided is as up-to-date as possible and within acceptable timeframes
• Check and reconcile financial information, including ensuring Entity name matches business name on Financial Statements and checking that relevant and requested periods have been provided
• Confirm that complete documents have been provided, including Full Profit and Loss and Trading Statement, Balance Sheet, Notes with breakdowns of accounts, and Director's Statement and Compilation Statement/Auditors Report
• Read through Notes/Accountant Statements/Auditor's Report to ensure complete understanding of Financial Statements
• Check the reconciliation of the Balance Sheet to ensure total figures are correctly calculated
• Confirm the reconciliation of income, expenses, and accounts across periods
• Upload and map Financial Information to the digital platform, extracting relevant pages from Financial Statements, confirming digitisation is correct, and accurately mapping income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity accounts into their respective fields

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience reviewing Australian Financial Statements or documentation preferred
• Experience in Quality Assurance Processes preferred
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Collaborative team member who supports others when required
