AU Intermediate Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support our Australian accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing financial statements, completing tax compliance tasks, and maintaining accurate accounting records in line with Australian accounting standards. This role offers hands-on exposure to a range of accounting functions and the opportunity to build strong technical and professional skills in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and completing full sets of accounts in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
• Support in preparing and lodging income tax returns for companies, trusts, and partnerships.
• Help manage BAS, IAS, and other statutory reporting requirements to ensure timely submissions.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial data.
• Maintain supporting workpapers, including depreciation schedules, accruals, and journal adjustments.
• Identify and assist in resolving accounting discrepancies under the guidance of senior accountants.
• Collaborate with Australian clients or internal teams to address queries and meet reporting deadlines.
• Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and maintain high-quality standards across engagements.
• Provide accurate data and insights to assist with financial reporting and management decisions.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience (exposure to Australian accounting preferred).
• Basic understanding of Australian accounting principles and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in an international accounting environment.

Pay: Php50,000.00 - Php55,000.00 per month
