Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on Australian mortgage loan processing experience on the broker side
• Proven end-to-end loan processing experience, from application through settlement, for both salaried and self-employed applicants
• Strong knowledge of Australian lender policies, servicing requirements, borrowing capacity, and loan structuring
• Experience assessing income, assets, liabilities, expenses, and borrowing capacity
• Comprehensive knowledge of home, investment, construction, and SMSF loans
• Demonstrated exposure to multiple Australian lenders, loan products, and complex lending scenarios
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple loan files, lender requirements, stakeholders, and deadlines
• Strong relationship management skills across brokers, lenders, solicitors, clients, and real estate professionals
• Hands-on experience with at least one mortgage CRM or loan platform, such as Salestrekker, BrokerEngine, Infyniti, MyCRM, Quickli, Mercury, ApplyOnline (AOL), or FLEX
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
• Stable work history and a genuine commitment to long-term career growth in the Australian mortgage industry

Responsibilities

• Compile and lodge complete loan application packages with lenders, ensuring compliance with lender-specific submission requirements.
• Prepare loan packages, including Statements of Advice, NCCP documents (Preliminary Assessments and Credit Proposal Disclosures), and application forms.
• Manage loan files from lodgement through conditional and unconditional approval, responding to lender conditions and requests.
• Liaise with clients, brokers, lenders, and solicitors to progress and finalise applications through to settlement.
• Communicate with lender assessors to manage and resolve exceptions and escalations.
• Complete data entry for new clients and update existing client records; collect, index, and organise supporting documents and identify any documentation gaps.
• Request pricing discounts and property valuations as required.
• Prepare post-settlement compliance records, including documentation advising clients of their loan breakdown.
• Prepare and manage loan discharges for settlement and support ongoing loan maintenance for the existing loan book.
• Monitor loan applications daily and provide regular progress and status updates.
