Auction Art Handler & Warehouse Associate

Millea Bros. is a progressive, boutique auction house seeking a full or part time Warehouse Art Handler/Mover. Applicant must be self-starting and able to maintain and coordinate the flow of property through all stages of the auction process.

Summary: Conduct all physical handling of property from time of arrival at Millea Bros. until it is sold and released. Support the protection and organization of works within the warehouse by utilizing proactive methods of handling. Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills while communicating with team members and servicing clients.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Receive and unpack all property.
• Perform quality checks recording any damages, losses or discrepancies against packing list.
• Tag and store all property in designated areas within 48 hours of arrival.
• Communicate with and provide support to catalogers and photographers whenever access to warehouse property is needed.
• Support photography during photo shoots with the staging of fine art and furniture on set.
• Conduct inventory checks, unpack boxes, and maintain general organization of storage to allow space for in-bound property.
• Implement on-going maintenance of office and warehouse, re-order and maintain all needed supplies.
• Stage gallery exhibition setups and breakdowns as directed by management.
• Prepare post-sale outbound property by obtaining and managing all release paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements: * 1 years of art handling experience.

• Can perform heavy property lifting with extensive movement throughout warehouse.
• Basic knowledge of E-mail and Microsoft office.
• Able to learn Millea Bros. inventory database.
• Able to prioritize workload around auction deadlines.
• Anticipate problems and act accordingly.
• Possesses commitment to team environment.
• Exhibits initiative, flexibility and a positive attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
