Audio Developer

Position: Audio Developer

Experience: 4+ years

Location: Hyderabad

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant industry experience in audio software, DSP, multimedia systems, or embedded platforms.
• Strong expertise in one or more of the following:
• Audio frameworks and pipelines (e.g., Android audio stack, ALSA, ASoC, or equivalent)
• DSP audio processing, algorithms, and optimization
• Lowlatency, realtime, and powerefficient audio systems
• Proficiency in systems programming languages such as C/C++ (and scripting languages where applicable).
• Proven experience owning complex technical features endtoend with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with Qualcomm stakeholders and customer teams.
• Guide debugging of multimedia pipeline issues.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Support performance optimization and stability improvements.
• Review code quality and integration readiness.
• Experience with crossOS or crossplatform audio solutions (mobile, automotive, IoT, XR, or embedded systems). Mentor engineers and track deliverables.
• Handson experience with performance profiling, latency analysis, and power optimization for audio workloads.
• Prior experience influencing technical direction beyond immediate team scope or acting as a vertical/area owner. Required Skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong Embedded C/C++ programming.
• Linux/Android multimedia framework knowledge.
• Qualcomm multimedia architecture exposure.
• Knowledge of ALSA, Audio HAL, Camera HAL, V4L2, OpenMAX, DRM/KMS.
• Understanding of codec pipelines and synchronization.
• Experience in debugging kernel/user-space multimedia issues.
• Familiarity with ADB, Logcat, GDB, and performance tools.
