Audio Device Driver Engineer

Are you an embedded engineer who enjoys working where hardware meets software, and who can trace an audio signal from an Android app all the way down to the codec?

KorInno Technologies is looking for an Audio Device Driver Engineer with 4+ years of professional experience to join our Client's Project in Bengaluru (on-site).

This role involves bring-up, development, and debugging of the audio framework and driver stack across Android-based platforms, including Mobile, XR, and Smart Glasses. You will work on new feature development, customer issue resolution, and compute, memory, and power optimization for audio use cases.

You could work across these areas:

🔹 Linux Kernel & ALSA/ASoC Driver Development

🔹 Android Audio Framework (AudioFlinger, HAL, Audio Policy Manager)

🔹 Playback, Recording & Voice Call Audio Paths

🔹 Low-Latency Audio

🔹 Bluetooth Audio (A2DP / LE Audio)

🔹 Audio Codec & DSP Integration / Offload Architectures

🔹 Echo Cancellation, Noise Suppression & Beamforming

🔹 Always-On & Low-Power Audio Optimization

What we’re looking for:

Strong programming skills in C and C++

Hands-on Linux kernel development experience with an ALSA/ASoC driver focus

Solid understanding of the Android audio framework and the audio path from app to driver

Experience integrating audio codecs and on-chip audio DSP firmware

Exposure to multi-mic array processing, noise suppression, or beamforming pipelines

Experience debugging audio issues such as pops, glitches, and stream transition problems

Experience with Bluetooth audio integration or debugging (A2DP / LE Audio)

Understanding of power optimization for low-power audio paths

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Good communication and collaboration skills

Candidates should be able to walk us through real projects, including the problems they debugged, the design decisions they made, and the results they delivered.
