Audio domain HW architect

Act as the technical owner for Audio-related hardware technologies, driving component strategy, architecture planning, hardware design, supplier technical reviews, and technology roadmap development. Represent the hardware organization in platform-level discussions with system teams, software teams, suppliers, and global development teams, while actively contributing to hardware development projects and technical decision making.

Qualification Education

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
• Fluent Chinese and good English communication skills required Experience
• Minimum 12 years of experience in hardware development, hardware architecture, or related technical leadership roles.
• Extensive experience in automotive Audio, Cockpit, or related domains.
• Proven track record of leading architecture discussions, technical reviews, and solution evaluations across multiple organizations and disciplines.
• Experience translating product and system requirements into scalable hardware platform solutions.
• Experience driving technical trade-offs involving hardware, software, user experience, cost, performance, reliability, and product strategy.
• Experience working directly with OEMs, Tier1 suppliers, semiconductor vendors, and global development organizations.
• Experience establishing technology roadmaps, preferred component strategies, and reusable platform architectures.
• Experience representing technical organizations in executive-level, customer-facing, or global engineering discussions.
• Experience mentoring engineers, influencing technical direction, and driving capability development across organizations.
• Hands-on experience in hardware development, hardware debugging, and product delivery throughout the entire product lifecycle from concept phase to mass production. Specific Knowledge Audio Hardware Architecture
• Deep understanding of automotive audio architectures and audio signal chains with the ability to define scalable hardware solutions supporting current and future vehicle platforms.
• Ability to evaluate and define audio hardware topologies covering codec strategies, amplifier architectures, microphone systems, speaker systems, audio networking solutions, and DSP hardware platforms.
• Ability to identify architectural constraints and opportunities impacting performance, latency, scalability, user experience, power consumption, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Ability to challenge and evaluate supplier proposals from both architectural and implementation perspectives. Cockpit Hardware Platform Understanding
• Strong understanding of modern cockpit computing platforms and their interactions with display, audio, connectivity, camera, compute, power, thermal, and mechanical domains.
• Ability to assess how hardware platform decisions influence product capabilities, software architectures, user experience, scalability, lifecycle management, and future platform evolution.
• Ability to contribute to platform-level architecture discussions and represent hardware interests in cross-functional decision making. Hardware Development & Technical Authority
• Strong hands-on experience in hardware design, component selection, validation, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Ability to guide development teams through complex technical challenges and provide technical leadership across multiple projects.
• Deep understanding of system-level impacts caused by hardware design decisions and implementation trade-offs.
• Ability to establish technical standards, review methodologies, and engineering best practices. Architecture Leadership & Technology Strategy
• Ability to translate business, product, and system requirements into long-term hardware technology strategies and architecture roadmaps.
• Ability to identify technology trends, evaluate emerging solutions, and define future platform directions.
• Experience building preferred component ecosystems and supplier technology strategies.
• Ability to drive technical alignment across hardware, software, system, supplier, and global engineering organizations.
• Strong influencing skills with the ability to align stakeholders without direct authority.
